Modernising the Route to Competence through Electronic Porfolios
30th January 2020
With the WAMITAB approved centre recognised in 2019 for their commitment to excellence by WAMITAB CEO Chris James, Serac are keen to continue excelling in their field and being able to offer their customers a modernised and smooth approach to learning.
From March 2020, Serac are delighted to offer all WAMITAB qualifications via a tailored e-portfolio system. The system will sit alongside all qualifications offered by Serac for all customers whose operation requires them to hold a permit to operate issued by the Environmental Agency to demonstrate operational and technical competence.
We understand how difficult it is to locate a mass inundation of paperwork at the drop of a hat meaning that working under our new system, site managers are able to instantly put their hands on evidence of operational competence should they need to refer back and provide their true visibility of competence.
Although Serac are confident that this way of working provides an array of positive benefits not just the assessor, but to the learner, we understand that not all businesses and systems run the same meaning that paper-based WAMITAB qualifications are still available until customers feel comfortable to make the move to the electronic method of assessment.
Some of the courses provided under the new electronic system include the following:
- Operator Competence for Non-Hazardous Waste Transfer
- Operator Competence for Managing Transfer of Hazardous Waste
- Operator Competence for Managing Hazardous Open Landfill
