The British Aggregates Association was formed in 1999 and is now firmly established as the voice of the UK’s independent SME quarry operators. The BAA is run by people experienced in all aspects of the minerals industry.
IOSH are the world's biggest professional health and safety membership organisation and the only Chartered body for health and safety specialists. IOSH are the world leaders in health and safety training with over 170,000 people taking courses yearly.
Serac are able to provide several courses approved by IOSH including IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Working Safely which are designed to provide managers, supervisors and employees with the knowledge, skills and understanding to focus on the importance of health and safety best practice.
The Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (Wamitab) are an awarding organisation that develop qualifications and certificates for those working in the Waste Management & Recycling and Facilities Management industries.
Serac is a Wamitab approved centre which offers a full range of qualifications, training and consultancy services.
The EUSR Plant for Utilities Scheme (PLUS) ensures quality assured and contextually relevant plant equipment training for the utilities and waste recycling industries. Mentor have submitted and attained recognition for a wide range of mobile plant and materials handling operator courses under the PLUS umbrella.
The Mineral Products Qualifications Council is a nationally registered awarding body for National and Scottish Vocational Qualifications (NVQs/SVQs) for the extractive and mineral processing industries.
As an independent assessment centre accredited by MPQC, we deliver qualifications throughout the sector for all types of operational, management and supervisory roles.
PAA/ VQ-SET is an independent specialist Awarding Organisation recognised and regulated by UK Qualification Regulators, the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
EUSR is an independent skills platform which provides recognised standards for the utility sector. It is operated by Energy & Utility Skills, the sector skills body for the gas, power, waste management and water industries. EUSR is designed to support industry employers and add value to the sector.
