Assessment in Extractives & Mineral Processing

Serac UK is the leading provider of training, assessment, and apprenticeships in the Extratives & Mineral Processing sectors, delivering assessment for QCF / NVQ awards, certificates, and diplomas. All the qualifications that we assess are competence and/or knowledge based and are accredited by either MPQC or PAA VQSET. 

For competence based awards we appoint a fully trained Serac UK assessor who observes the candidates in their normal work roles, who visits the candidate in their workplace, explains the award and then guides them through their qualification.

The assessment process begins with a review of the candidate, from which an assessment plan is created. The assessment of a Level 1 and 2 qualification usually takes 3 visits per candidate. A Level 3 or 4 qualification assessment can take 6-12 visits depending on the candidate and the qualification.

Funding may be available for a candidate or qualification depending on a number of factors; the type of qualification, type of candidate, age, candidate’s previous qualifications, and the availability of funding. For more details go to our Funding & Advice page.
